About the Foundation

The Devynne Charlton Barrier Breakers Foundation was founded in 2024 by Bahamian track and field star Devynne Charlton. Having experienced first-hand the struggles of balancing athletics, education, and the financial demands of sports, Devynne established the foundation to help support young athletes in need.

The foundation’s primary goal is to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent talented athletes from reaching their full potential. We aim to empower athletes, particularly those in at-risk communities, by providing access to essential resources such as training, competition gear, travel, and scholarships.

Our programs are designed to inspire athletes to excel not only on the track but also in academics, leadership, and personal development. We believe in a holistic approach to athlete development, ensuring that our youth have the tools they need to succeed both on and off the field.

My ultimate goal is to inspire young athletes to believe that they can break through any barrier, whether it’s on the track or in life. No dream is too big.
